Many European fabric mills and clothing factories were closed, or at best, operating on reduced scheduled throughout the winter and spring of 2021. The reduced schedules were a way to assure “social distancing” in the factories, where staff generally is closely seated. The closures were a way to comply with local law and national laws that offered financial incentives to reduce or furlough staff. Most significantly for us, one of our workrooms for cutting tailored clothing became insolvent, leaving all our fall and winter fabrics, in lockdown, until the administrator of the bankruptcy court was satisfied of our ownership of these fabrics, and finally released them to us in October. Finally, all our goods are currently in production, and we are able to cut and sew all the fabrics shown. We want to apologize to any of our customers for delays in production, but hopefully, you now understand the reason for this situation. The good news is that our winter jackets are still timely, and moreover, timeless. You will enjoy them for years to come. We hope you will enjoy the handsome sport coats in this catalog, classically styled in the finest fabrics, either with a tailored shirt and fine necktie; or pairedmore casually with a sweater and an open collared shirt.
